Turnitin 支持哪些文件类型？可查清单与永不接受清单

Turnitin 接受两类文件：作业允许任何类型时，小于 100MB、少于 800 页即可；作业只接受可查类型时，还要求至少 20 词、且格式在白名单内（DOC/DOCX、WordPerfect、HTML、PostScript、TXT、RTF、PDF、ODT、HWP/HWPX、PPTX、Google Drive 上的 Google Docs）。密码保护文件、Apple Pages 文档、以及「伪装成文本的图片」（扫描件）不会生成相似度报告。

Turnitin 官方「Allowed file types and sizes」页描述了两种模式：

"If an assignment is set to allow any file type, Turnitin will accept any file that: is less than 100MB / is less than 800 pages"（如果作业设置为允许任何文件类型，Turnitin 将接受任何符合以下条件的文件：小于 100MB / 少于 800 页）

"If an assignment is set to allow only files that Turnitin can check for similarity, Turnitin will only accept files that can generate Similarity Reports. This includes: files less than 100MB, files with a minimum of 20 words, file less than 800 pages"（如果作业被设置为仅允许 Turnitin 可以检查相似度的文件，Turnitin 将只接受能够生成 Similarity Reports 的文件。这包括：小于 100MB 的文件、至少包含 20 个单词的文件、少于 800 页的文件）

接受门槛由老师定，不由文件本身决定。40MB 的 Apple Pages 文件能通过大小检查，却被「可查类型」模式的白名单拒绝。这就是为什么报错信息很少能解释失败原因——真正的问题是这门作业用的是哪套规则。

同一官方页给出了能生成相似度报告的完整格式列表：

"Microsoft Word (DOC and DOCX), Corel WordPerfect, HTML, Adobe PostScript, Plain text (TXT), Rich Text Format (RTF), Portable Document Format (PDF), OpenOffice (ODT), Hangul (HWP and HWPX), PowerPoint (PPTX), Google Docs via Google Drive"（Microsoft Word (DOC 和 DOCX)、Corel WordPerfect、HTML、Adobe PostScript、纯文本 (TXT)、富文本格式 (RTF)、便携式文档格式 (PDF)、OpenOffice (ODT)、Hangul (HWP 和 HWPX)、PowerPoint (PPTX)、通过 Google Drive 的 Google Docs）

两条实操提示：Hangul（.hwp/.hwpx）和 WordPerfect（.wpd）文件必须通过网页浏览器提交；PowerPoint 要通过 Turnitin.com 或 LTI 集成提交——iOS 提交通道有自己的更窄清单（25 词下限、40MB）。查文件时也要查通道。

Turnitin 官方页明确列出了不接受用于相似度检查的格式：

"Turnitin will not accept the following to generate Similarity Reports: Password protected files, Microsoft Works (.wps) files, Microsoft Word 2007 macros-enabled .docm files, OpenOffice Text (.odt) files created and downloaded from Google Docs online, Document (.doc) files created using OpenOffice (not 100% Microsoft Word equivalent), Apple Pages, Spreadsheets created outside of Microsoft Excel (e.g. .ods), Text with visual effects"（Turnitin 不接受以下文件以生成 Similarity Reports：受密码保护的文件、Microsoft Works (.wps) 文件、启用宏的 Microsoft Word 2007 .docm 文件、从 Google Docs 在线创建并下载的 OpenOffice Text (.odt) 文件、使用 OpenOffice 创建的 Document (.doc) 文件（并非 100% 等同于 Microsoft Word）、Apple Pages、在 Microsoft Excel 之外创建的电子表格（例如 .ods）、带有视觉效果的文本）

其中两类每学期都在坑学生：Apple Pages（macOS 用户直接上传，然后不知道为什么没反应）和密码保护文件（检查被静默跳过）。还有一个格式陷阱——用 OpenOffice 写的 .doc 和 Microsoft Word 写的 .doc 不是一回事，提交可能成功但报告是空的。

Turnitin 文件要求页讲清了 PDF 的边界情况：

"Turnitin will not accept PDF image files, forms, or portfolios, files that do not contain highlightable text (e.g. a scanned file — usually an image), documents containing multiple files or files created with software other than Adobe Acrobat."（Turnitin 不接受 PDF 图像文件、表单或作品集，不包含可高亮文本的文件（例如扫描文件——通常是图像），包含多个文件的文档或使用 Adobe Acrobat 以外软件创建的文件。）

怎么判断 PDF 是不是真文本：

"To determine if a document contains actual text, copy and paste a section or all of the text into a plain-text editor such as Microsoft Notepad or Apple TextEdit. If no text is copied over, the selection is not actual text."（要确定文档是否包含实际文本，请将部分或全部文本复制并粘贴到纯文本编辑器（如 Microsoft Notepad 或 Apple TextEdit）中。如果没有复制出任何文本，则所选内容不是实际文本。）

如果文件类型不被接受，官方页给了转换路径：

"If you are using an unsupported word processor, you may need to save your plain text file as .txt or .rtf in order to upload to Turnitin."（如果您使用的是不受支持的文字处理器，您可能需要将纯文本文件另存为 .txt 或 .rtf 才能上传到 Turnitin。）

为什么是这两个：「Rich Text Format and Plain Text file types are nearly universally available in word processing software.」（RTF 和纯文本在文字处理软件里几乎通用。）代价是真实的：「Neither file type will support images or non-text data within the file. Plain text format does not support any formatting, and rich text format supports only limited formatting options.」（两种格式都不支持图片和非文本数据；纯文本不支持任何格式，RTF 只支持有限格式。）

官方页还建议一个好习惯：「When converting a file to a new file format, users should rename their file with a name other than that of the original file」——转格式时改个名，防止转换覆盖掉真正的原稿。

PowerPoint 和 Excel 文件可查，但报告显示的是转换后的版本：

"Turnitin converts the PowerPoint slide deck into a static PDF, leaving all text and images in their original format but leaving out features such as presenter notes, embedded video, and animations."（Turnitin 会将 PowerPoint 幻灯片转换为静态 PDF，将所有文本和图像保留为原始格式，但会排除演讲者备注、嵌入视频和动画等功能。）

"Text with visual effects is not supported, and it is recommended that any visual effects such as shadows and 3D be removed prior to submitting to Turnitin."（不支持带有视觉效果的文本，建议在提交至 Turnitin 之前移除任何视觉效果（如阴影和 3D）。）

"The version of the file that can be viewed in the Document Viewer will look the same as it would if the Excel file had been saved as a PDF and submitted to Turnitin."（在 Document Viewer 中可查看的文件版本，其外观将与 Excel 文件另存为 PDF 并提交至 Turnitin 后的外观相同。）

所以带动画的幻灯组在转换后的 PDF 里会丢动画；Excel 工作簿显示效果等于「存成 PDF 再提交」——如果版式重要，提交前先设好打印区域。

Turnitin 是否接受你的文件取决于两套规则：「任何类型」（100MB/800 页）或「可查类型」（100MB/800 页/20+ 词/白名单格式）。白名单覆盖主流写作格式，但排除 Apple Pages、Works、宏启用 DOCM、OpenOffice 产的 DOC/ODT、非 Excel 表格、密码保护文件。PDF 必须含真文本——扫描图片即使扩展名正确也过不了。文件被拒时：转成 TXT/DOCX（记得改名）、去掉密码和视觉效果；macOS 用户先确认自己没传 .pages。这张格式地图能解答大多数「为什么上传失败」的问题，比排查网络更先到。
