StealthGPT Review: Pricing, Limits, Files, and Refunds

StealthGPT uses the word `unlimited`, but the day-to-day contract still has request counts, per-request caps, and a separate developer bill. Its public pages also disagree on files, languages, and Enterprise input size.

Is StealthGPT worth trying?

StealthGPT fits text-first rewriting when 1,000 or 2,000 words per request covers the job. Its current pricing page lists 50 or 100 monthly requests, not unlimited runs. Public pages disagree on file formats and language count, while the Terms pair a general no-refund rule with a narrower detector-based guarantee.

I checked StealthGPT's signed-out homepage, pricing, humanizer, detector, extension, API, MCP, and Terms pages on August 26, 2026. I did not create an account, submit text, upload a file, start a trial, open checkout, or run a detector.

HumanPen prepared this article and provides the document workflow discussed later. Product claims stay attributed to the company that published them. This is a review of the public contract, not a detector-effect benchmark.

Start with the unit that can stop your job: monthly requests, words per request, or a separate developer balance.

What do StealthGPT plans actually limit?

The current pricing page shows weekly, monthly, and yearly prices. Pro and Max combine a monthly request count with a per-request word cap. Enterprise uses custom request volume and has conflicting input-size claims elsewhere on the site.

PlanWeeklyMonthlyYearlyRequests per monthWords per request
Pro$9.99$29.99$299.99501,000
Max$19.99$79.99$799.991002,000
EnterpriseContact salesContact salesContact salesCustom10,000+ on the pricing card

The comparison table also says `Unlimited` under Word Limit. Its own FAQ narrows that phrase to total monthly output, while each request remains subject to the plan cap. The Terms add a maximum of one million tokens per account per month. Those three units should not be collapsed into one allowance.

Enterprise needs a separate check. The pricing card says `10,000+` words per request, while the homepage release panel says up to 20,000 words in one run. Confirm the logged-in limit before planning a large job around either number.

The Terms label the 50-request Pro and 100-request Max schedule as effective August 27, 2026, although the pricing page already displayed it on August 26. That one-day timing gap is another reason to recheck the plan card at purchase.

`Unlimited words` does not mean unlimited requests, unlimited input size, or an unlimited developer balance.

What can you use for free?

StealthGPT uses `free` on several different surfaces. Only one of the checked humanizer pages names a trial, and it does not publish the number of runs, words, or days included.

SurfaceWhat the public page showsWhat it does not establish
Homepage humanizerA 100-word field whose action leads to sign-inA 100-word account allowance or completed anonymous run
Humanizer feature pageA free trial with enough usage to testTrial duration, run count, or word balance
Standard detector10 to 200 words with no account requiredHumanizer credit
Detector account claimUnlimited standard scans and uploadsA signed-out humanizer allowance
Developer API`Start for free - Payment details required`A free web-plan entitlement

The safest free test plan is to treat each surface separately. A 200-word detector scan says nothing about how much rewriting is included, and the homepage's 100-word counter leads to sign-in rather than proving an anonymous result.

A free detector, a landing-page text box, and a humanizer trial are three different offers.

How do paste and file workflows differ?

The humanizer feature page describes a text-first workflow: paste a draft, choose settings, run Humanize, then make manual adjustments to the rewritten text. It also advertises file upload, but its format list does not match the pricing table.

First-party locationFile formats named
Humanizer feature pageDOCX, PDF, TXT
Pro pricing rowDOC, TXT
Max pricing rowPDF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, WEBP
Enterprise pricing rowPDF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, WEBP

The checked pages do not promise that an uploaded file comes back in the same format, remains editable, or preserves its layout. That is a narrow public-page finding, not proof about every account-only export state.

If the file itself matters, use a disposable copy and inspect the return path before uploading the real document. `Accepts DOCX` and `returns an editable DOCX` are separate claims.

File input is documented. A same-format editable round trip is not documented on the pages checked here.

How many languages does StealthGPT support?

There is no single language count that can be copied safely from the current site. Five first-party locations publish four different descriptions.

First-party locationPublished description
Pricing plan cardsAll languages supported
Pricing comparison rows100+ languages
Pricing site statistic50+ languages supported
Humanizer feature page1,000+ languages
API FAQOver 1,000 languages

These claims were live at the same time. They do not establish equal quality across every language, dialect, or academic register. Test the exact language and writing style you need before choosing a plan for multilingual work.

The mismatch is the useful fact. Replacing it with one clean number would make the review less accurate.

How do the API, MCP, and integrations fit in?

StealthGPT has several integration surfaces, but they do not all use the browser subscription. The developer API and MCP pages publish pay-as-you-go pricing of $0.20 per 1,000 words with no subscription, and purchased developer words are described as non-expiring.

SurfacePublic contract
Chrome extensionRequires a StealthGPT account; works in browser text fields
WordPress pluginUses an API key and can place output in a draft post
Zapier and n8nPublic integration routes tied to the developer surface
Developer API$0.20 per 1,000 words, pay as you go
MCP serverSame published developer rate; asynchronous jobs return a `runId`
Pro and Max web plansPricing table marks API access as unavailable

The separate developer page is not evidence that API use is included in Pro or Max. Teams should price browser rewriting and programmatic rewriting as different purchase paths unless the logged-in account says otherwise.

For transport, authentication, status polling, and payload details, see the separate AI humanizer MCP server comparison. This review keeps the integration section to the limits that affect a buying decision.

Browser words and developer words sit on different public pricing surfaces.

What billing and refund terms matter?

The Terms of Service, last updated August 19, 2026, say recurring charges continue until cancellation. Cancellation takes effect after the current paid term, so stopping renewal and receiving money back are not the same event.

TermPublic wording in practical terms
Recurring billingCharges repeat until the user cancels
CancellationAccess continues to the end of the paid term
General refund ruleSection 8 says all purchases are non-refundable
API chargesNon-refundable and non-transferable regardless of use
Detector-based guaranteeSection 31 describes a narrower proof-based claim process

Section 31 asks for a screenshot from an accepted detector showing StealthGPT output as AI-generated and lists exclusions. Weekly and monthly users may qualify for the current billing cycle; annual users may qualify for the affected month and the remaining prorated term. This is not a general refund window.

Because the general no-refund clause and the later conditional guarantee point in different directions, confirm the active rule and accepted proof with support before payment. This article summarizes the published language; it is not legal advice.

Cancelled, eligible to request a refund, and refunded are three different states.

Who does the public contract fit?

StealthGPT is easiest to assess when the job is reduced to input type, request size, monthly frequency, and required output.

JobFit based on public evidenceCheck before committing
Short pasted rewritesFits the documented web workflowTrial allowance and chosen mode
Regular jobs under 1,000 wordsFits Pro's published request sizeWhether 50 monthly requests are enough
Regular jobs under 2,000 wordsFits Max's published request sizeWhether 100 monthly requests are enough
Large Enterprise inputsPublic pages disagreeLogged-in cap: 10,000+ or 20,000
Automated text processingFits API or MCP in principleSeparate developer balance and async handling
Multilingual rewritingCoverage is claimedExact language and register quality
Editable file round tripsNot established by checked pagesReturn format, styles, fields, and layout

Run a representative, non-sensitive sample before moving a real assignment. Review meaning, citations, quotations, numbers, and formatting yourself. A vendor's detector score cannot perform that editorial check.

The Terms also prohibit academic dishonesty, plagiarism, fabrication, and misrepresented authorship. Check the policy governing the work and disclose tool use where required.

The strongest buying check is whether the real input and required output fit the published contract.

When is a document workflow more relevant?

If the deliverable is an editable DOCX or PPTX, the return file may matter more than a large paste box. HumanPen accepts DOCX, PPTX, and TXT, returns each in its input format, and keeps DOCX and PPTX editable.

Users can select passages or import a Turnitin AI Writing Report to propose the rewrite scope. Content outside the confirmed scope is left untouched. Eligible results can continue lowering AI for free.

HumanPen publishes this review, so treat those statements as first-party product information, not as an independent test or a winner claim. Inspect complex files after download regardless of which document tool you use.

Choose a text workflow for text. Choose a document workflow when the file is part of the deliverable.

Frequently asked questions

How much does StealthGPT cost?

The current pricing page lists Pro at $9.99 weekly, $29.99 monthly, or $299.99 yearly. Max is $19.99 weekly, $79.99 monthly, or $799.99 yearly. Enterprise says to contact sales.

Does StealthGPT have unlimited words?

Its pricing FAQ says `unlimited words` refers to total monthly output. Pro still lists 50 requests and 1,000 words per request; Max lists 100 requests and 2,000 words per request. The Terms also state a one-million-token monthly ceiling.

Can you try the StealthGPT humanizer for free?

The humanizer page says a free trial exists but does not quantify the included runs, words, or days. The 100-word homepage field and the 200-word no-account detector are separate controls.

What files does StealthGPT accept?

The public pages disagree. The feature page lists DOCX, PDF, and TXT, while the pricing table lists DOC/TXT for Pro and PDF/image formats for Max and Enterprise. Confirm the current plan-specific upload list before buying.

Does StealthGPT offer refunds?

The Terms contain a general no-refund clause and a narrower detector-based guarantee with proof requirements and exclusions. Confirm which rule applies to the planned purchase before paying.
