HIX Bypass Review: Free Limits, Pricing, and API

HIX Bypass puts a humanizer, detector, file upload, and API under one name. The useful review starts by separating their limits and checking what the public pages actually promise.

Is HIX Bypass worth trying?

HIX Bypass is worth a look for short paste-or-upload jobs when its free monthly allowance or a browser plan matches your volume. Its public pages show three rewrite modes, a detector, 50+ languages, and a separate API. They do not establish a same-format editable-file return or a HIX Bypass browser extension.

The check took place August 26, 2026, across the signed-out homepage, humanizer, pricing, developer, refund, terms, and sitemap pages. Every field stayed empty; no file, tool, checkout, or account action was used.

Disclosure: HumanPen is the publisher, and a later section describes its document workflow. Product claims remain attributed to the vendor that published them; this is not a detector benchmark.

The key distinction is not which mode sounds strongest. It is which allowance, input limit, and return format applies to the job in front of you.

What can you use without an account?

The humanizer page says its free tool needs neither payment nor sign-up. In the signed-out state, the first-party entitlement response gave the humanizer and detector separate monthly balances.

Signed-out toolMonthly balance measuredRequest-limit field in the same response
Humanizer200 words2,000 words
Detector200 words2,000 words

The 2,000-word field does not add 2,000 usable words to the free balance. With 200 words available for the month, that smaller balance binds first. This makes the free state useful for a short sample, not for evaluating a whole paper in one visit.

Check both the period balance and the per-request field. They answer different questions.

How do HIX Bypass browser plans work?

The monthly pricing view lists three paid plans. Standard and Premium increase the monthly pool without lifting the 3,000-word input cap. Only the card named Unlimited removes the published input cap.

PlanMonthly priceHumanizer per monthDetector per monthInput limit
Standard$14.995,000 words5,000 words3,000 words/input
Premium$29.9950,000 words50,000 words3,000 words/input
Unlimited$59.99UnlimitedUnlimitedUnlimited

The yearly view displays $9.99, $14.99, and $15.00 per month for Standard, Premium, and Unlimited respectively. It also advertises 75% off, but the checked page did not clearly show the total annual charge. Treat those as prices displayed in the yearly view, then confirm the actual amount and billing cycle before payment.

The Terms add an important qualification: HIX Bypass reserves the right to change whether input or output words are charged and to impose hourly usage restrictions, including after subscription. The Unlimited card and that policy clause should be read together.

`Unlimited` is a plan label with published allowances, not a promise that no other usage rule can apply.

What does the public workflow include?

The public interface has two starting points: paste text or choose `Upload File`. It also places `Check for AI` beside the humanizer and offers Fast, Aggressive, and Latest modes.

ControlWhat was visibleWhat was tested here
Paste TextText entry in the browserLeft blank
Upload FileFile-selection actionNo file selected
Check for AIBuilt-in detector actionNot run
Fast, Aggressive, LatestThree vendor-named modesNo output comparison
OutputResult panel on the pageNo result generated

The page describes coverage for 50+ languages and names French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Tagalog, and Polish among them. That is published coverage, not a multilingual quality test.

This review verifies controls and limits, not the vendor's claims about detector outcomes, plagiarism, or rewrite quality.

Which files go in, and what comes back?

First-party page copy names DOC, DOCX, PDF, and TXT as supported uploads. It also contains a file-size message, but the concrete maximum was not resolved in the signed-out state, so there is no upload-size number to rely on here.

Public evidenceSupported conclusionStill unproven
`Upload File` is visibleHIX Bypass has a file-input routeA successful upload in this review
DOC/DOCX/PDF/TXT are namedThose formats are accepted as inputPreservation of styles, fields, comments, or pagination
An `Output` panel is visibleResults appear in the web workflowA same-format DOCX or PDF download
No public export control was foundNo return route was visible before sign-inWhat every account-only state may offer

If formatting matters, put a non-production sample through the full route and inspect what comes back before processing the real document. Upload support alone does not establish an editable round trip.

`Accepts DOCX` and `returns an editable DOCX` are two different product claims. Only the first is supported by the checked HIX Bypass pages.

How is the API different from the browser plans?

HIX Bypass has a public developer page, but its API uses a separate pricing and usage contract. The browser plan table should not be used as an API limit table.

API detailPublic developer-page statement
Trial allowance300 API words free of charge
Per-request maximum2,000 words
Total allowanceDepends on the API subscription
After the allowance is usedUpgrade or buy extra word packages
Extra word expiryExtra packages are stated to remain valid forever

The API is relevant when a team needs to send text from its own application. The public page does not turn that integration into a document-layout service, and it does not say a browser plan includes API usage.

Browser allowance, browser input size, and API capacity are three separate numbers.

Is there a HIX Bypass browser extension?

No public HIX Bypass browser-extension page was found in the checked core pages and sitemap. The sitemap contained 495 URLs and 46 `humanize-ai` matches as a positive control, but zero URL matches for `extension`, `chrome`, `browser`, `plugin`, or `addon`.

That is a bounded search result, not proof that an extension can never exist. The sitemap itself omits the known `/developer` page. The Terms also mention an `AI Browser Extension` when listing refund thresholds for other HIX AI products, which does not establish a HIX Bypass extension.

For current planning, use the public routes that can be verified: the browser page and the API. Recheck the product pages if extension access is a purchase requirement.

A shared company policy page is not enough to transfer one product's feature to another product.

What billing and refund terms matter?

The Terms say subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual cycle and renew automatically unless cancelled. Renewal can be cancelled through account management or customer support.

TermPublic wording in practical terms
RenewalAutomatic at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled
Possible trialMay be offered at HIX Bypass's discretion; no current duration was promised on the pricing page
Trial conversionIf billing details are entered, charges begin on the last trial day unless cancelled
Refund request windowWithin three days of the original purchase
Usage thresholdPolicy says no more than 1,500 words; Terms also says less than 1,500 for HIX Bypass
Refund processCancel the subscription and email support; processing is not automatic
Cancellation timingEnd of the billing cycle by default

The safest reading is to stay below 1,500 words and make the request inside three days. The policy excludes previous months and additional account costs. Support says it aims to respond within two business days, but that response target is not a refund guarantee.

A cancellation request, a refund request, and an approved refund are separate events.

Who does the public contract fit?

The useful test is operational. Start with the input, expected output, and actual volume rather than a detector promise.

JobFit based on public evidenceCheck before committing
A short pasted sampleFits the signed-out browser workflowThe 200-word monthly free balance
Repeated plain-text workFits a paid browser plan in principleMonthly pool and per-input cap
Sending text from an appFits the documented API routeSeparate API price and 2,000-word request cap
Uploading DOC, DOCX, PDF, or TXTSupported as an input routeFile-size value and returned format
Preserving an editable paper or slide deckNot established by the checked pagesStyles, citations, layout, and same-format return
Needing an extensionPublic route not found in this checkRecheck before purchase

Run a representative, non-sensitive sample before moving a real assignment. Review meaning, citations, terminology, and formatting yourself; a vendor detector panel cannot perform that editorial check for you.

The right capacity question is often `Will my actual input and output survive the workflow?`, not `Which mode name sounds best?`

When is a document workflow more relevant?

When a job must end as an editable DOCX or PPTX, file return matters as much as rewriting. This document workflow accepts DOCX, PPTX, and TXT and returns each in its input format. Users can select passages; a Turnitin AI Writing Report can also propose the rewrite scope. This route is for work where the file remains part of the handoff.

Eligible results can continue lowering AI for free.

As disclosed above, this description is first-party product information rather than a neutral award. Inspect complex files after download regardless of which document tool you use.

Choose a text workflow for text. Choose a document workflow when the file itself is part of the deliverable.

Frequently asked questions

Is HIX Bypass free without signing up?

The public page says yes. The signed-out entitlement response measured 200 humanizer words and 200 detector words for the month. These are separate balances.

What is the HIX Bypass input limit?

Standard and Premium list 3,000 words per browser input. Unlimited lists an unlimited browser input. The API has its own 2,000-word per-request maximum. The signed-out response also carried a 2,000-word request field, but only 200 monthly words were available.

Can HIX Bypass upload DOCX and PDF files?

Its first-party page copy names DOC, DOCX, PDF, and TXT as accepted inputs. The checked pages do not establish that DOCX or PDF returns in the same format with editable layout intact.

Does HIX Bypass guarantee a Turnitin result?

No such guarantee was tested here. The article did not run HIX Bypass, Turnitin, or any other detector. A built-in score cannot establish how another service will classify a future file.
